Yes!

Readings can be very informative and insightful. But first you need to know what type of reading you’d like.

There are two main types of readings: Divinatory and what I call Evolutionary.

There can be many tools used by a psychic to do these type of readings and we’ll go over those in a bit.

• Divinatory readings tend to predict the future or gives you some idea of your future.

These tend to be very popular types of readings. Who doesn’t want to know their future!

I tend to be a bit skeptical of divinatory readings. There are some gifted as hell psychics out there that can see future events. There are psychics that can get glimpses of the future but they can be murky.

The future is hard to predict. There are so many factors at play such as your own free will, the decisions you make, and the actions of others.

The future is never set in stone. It’s a variable, unpredictable, and a mercurial beast. It never likes to play nice.

Divinatory readings are appealing for those who want to know about their love life, potential job prospects, or when you may be feeling vulnerable and need answers.

• Evolutionary readings are designed to be more about overall guidance and decision making.

Personally, these are my favorite types of readings. They help you gain in-depth understanding about your situation and the best ways to move forward.

They are not about predicting the future but guiding you to make the best decisions for your future.

They can be very eye opening and are great for shadow work.

These types of readings can be pretty deep and honest. They can sometimes reveal things we don’t want to hear. You need to be in the right frame of mind for this type of reading.

So, before you seek out a reading, decide on what type you’re looking to receive.

Some readers will do both types of readings and some will specialize in a certain type of reading. Once you’ve decided on a type, you can contact the reader and ask them if they do the type of reading you’re looking for.

Some reader will have things they will not read for such as death, health related questions, and/or pregnancy.

Tools of the Trade

Now that you know if you want a divinatory reading or an evolutionary reading, here are some of the tools used that will provide you with the best outcome for the type of reading you’re looking for.

When you contact a psychic, you might be overwhelmed by the different types tools they may use to perform the readings that they offer. Getting a general idea about the basics of each reading and knowing what type of reading you’re looking for will help make your session with a psychic much more enjoyable.

Tarot

A tarot card reading is one of the most popular types of readings. During a tarot card reading, the reader will ask you to focus your energy into the cards. The cards that come out and the position that they fall in will both affect your reading. The modern tarot cards that most readers use are typically composed of twenty-two major arcana cards and fifty-six minor arcana cards.

Tarot can be great for both future readings and evolutionary readings.

Astrology

If you request an astrology reading, the reader will use your date of birth to let you know the direction that your life is headed. This type of reading gains its predictions from the placement of the planets and the stars. There are several different types of astrology that an astrologer can use. These types include Chinese astrology, Western astrology, and Indian astrology.

Astrology can be used for future readings but they are the most powerful when used for evolutionary readings.

Numerology

Numerology is another type of reading that utilizes birth dates. A reader will use the numbers related to your date of birth to come up with a number that can be associated with your type of personality. For example, a person with the number seven is controlled by Neptune and has an idealistic type of character.

Numerology is great for evolutionary readings.

Palm Reading

A palm reading is another popular type of reading. The reader will be able to look at a client's palms and tell a lot about their personality. They will use the shape of the hands, the lines on the hands and the person's fingers to give an accurate reading. The lines on the hand particularly show many aspects of the person's personality and their future destiny. The life line tells the length of your life, the head line provides insight into your type of personality and the heart line can give clues about your love life. The other lines include the fate line, health line, fame line, money line, marriage line, sex line, spirit line, travel line and luck line. A palm reader can read the special markings on these lines as well as garner meaning from the length and depth of the lines.

Palm reading is great for divinatory and evolutionary readings.

Runes

Rune readings are an additional service that a reader may offer. Runes have been around for thousands of years and have been shown to attain mystical characteristics. A rune reading consists of twenty-four runes laid out in a spread. There are different types of spreads including the traditional spread of three that represents the past, present and future. The materials that the runes are made out of affects the reading as well. Ceramic, stone, wood and gold runes are each used to answer different life questions.

Aura Reading

An aura reading can also be conducted when you visit a reader. This type of reading involves the interpretation of the aura that surrounds a person. An aura is a color outline that emanates from the body and varies from person to person. Auras can be different sizes, shapes and colors. A reader that can read auras can see or sense a person's aura and give their interpretation of it.

Aura reading is great for evolutionary readings.

Depending of the specific advice or insight you’re looking for, you may wish to visit a reader that only specializes in one or two areas.

Some of the readings must be conducted face to face, but most can be distant readings that are done virtually or over the phone. Whichever type of reading you choose, you will be amazed at the insightful things that a reader can tell you about your life.

Can you become addicted to readings.

Absolutely!

This can become a problem if you stop being able to make decisions or move forward without constantly contacting your psychic or reader.

Reading are meant as guidance not a crutch. Readings need time to play out.

Sometimes the reading will tell you things you don’t like or don’t want to hear. This doesn’t mean the reading or the reader was wrong. Readings tend to be pretty honest and eye opening. This is why you should be in the right frame of mind when getting a reading or at least expect to hear some things that you may not like or agree with at the time.

Sometimes when a person gets a reading they don’t like they will ask the same question again and again or different versions of the same question hoping for an answer they want or like.

Please don’t do this. The universe has a message for you. You may not like it but it needs time to develop so you can learn from it.

If you are constantly contacting your reader for everyday decisions or asking the same thing over and over again, this may cause your reader to “break up” with you.

Reading is mentally and emotionally exhausting and when a client uses it as a crutch for every little thing or won’t accept the answer the cards are giving, the reader might not be able to take the energy drain anymore and will cut the client loose.

If this happens to you, don’t be offended or get angry with the reader. They are just trying to energetically protect themselves and it’s not their fault if a client can’t accept set boundaries and answers.

Reading are a wonderful tool to help you live a more rich and fulfilling life.

When you find a great reader that you connect with, it can be life altering. It’s like having a personal map for the best version of yourself and your future.
