Do You Really Need to Buy Witchcraft Supplies to Practice?

A hand picking up small vials filled with herb: buy witchcraft supplies

How to afford witchcraft supplies and tools without breaking the bank.

No you don’t

Ok, I know this sound weird coming from a business that sells witchcraft supplies and products.

Of course I want you to buy my products! But witchcraft should be accessible to everyone regardless of your financial status.

Just like other businesses, I post beautiful photos showcasing witchcraft supplies and hoping you’ll buy them. However, it can create a fear of missing out or feeling like you’re not a good enough witch if you can’t afford everything you see on social media.

like the idea of promoting what I call Terroir (Tear war) Witchcraft.

What the holy heck is that, you ask?

In French winemaking there is the term Terroir.

It means: the complete natural environment in which a particular wine is produced, including factors such as the soil, topography, and climate.

Basically, it means the characteristics of the environment of where you live.

No matter where you live, your location will have unique characteristics.

It doesn’t matter if you live in New York City to a hidden swamp in Louisiana. Each place will have elements that are distinct and unique to its location.

If you look to the distant past history of witchcraft, witches didn’t have access to the internet or cars where they could drive long distances to shop for their witchcraft supplies and spell work items. They had to forge locally or shop at the local market in the village.

Your local environment is rich in items that you can use in your practice.

Local trees, soil, rocks, flowers, plants, seeds, and sticks. All you need to do is walk outside and start paying attention!

Even if you live in a city, head to a park. Almost every city has some sort of green space.

Just be ethical when foraging for items. Your own yard is fine and some parks don’t have a problem with you taking a stick or stone. Alway ask permission if you’re not sure or check their website.

However, some places don’t allow you to remove items. Never ever remove something from a National Park. It’s a felony and you will be fined and potentially go to jail. Most State Parks have the same restrictions on removing items.

Your own kitchen cabinet is full of magical items and herbs.

Herbs, sugar, honey, and salt. Recycled jars.

The only limit is your imagination and creativity.

By using items that you find in your local environment, they’re going to hold more meaning and power for you. By learning what you can use in your own cabinets, they will be imbued with more meaning and magick.

You’ll be connecting to the nature of your environment and to your witch ancestors.

Happy foraging!
